To put Caracals in modern terms they are simply Built Different. When comparing them to other commonly owned house pets, a fully grown Caracal would beat anything in a WWE wrestling match any day of the week. They encompass everything you would want in a pet, whether you’re looking for a cute cuddly pet or a burly guard dog, a Caracal is simply the best house pet to own.
To start off, I’ll talk about the more serious uses for a Caracal. They are an absolute apex predator in natural scenarios. Built to withstand the deserts of the middle east, they are extremely versatile. Caracals can take down animals much bigger than them, such as antelopes, run at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour, and jump up to 3 meters. Now, why wouldn’t you want that as a pet? A Caracal, if trained properly can be a loyal pet that would protect you if you were being attacked. Caracals, if obtained when young, can be trained just like any other pet but end up growing into an absolute 12 kg Giga Chad of an animal, what’s not to like about that?
Now we can talk about the cons of owning a Caracal, and sadly there are a few. Firstly, you are owning a wild cat that could tear your throat out if you wanted to, but if trained this can quite easily be avoided. Secondly, they can be hard to obtain in some countries with strict animal immigration laws, and with this comes the problem of even trying to purchase or adopt one. And lastly, there is the common issue that comes with owning any big pet, you have to have lots of food and pay for things like litter, and along with this, training them as a normal pet.
If you consider all your options and decide you want to purchase a Caracal, I believe that’s a great decision. Who wouldn’t want a giant cat that likes to be petted, or loves to play? Just look at Caracal kittens, they are adorable, just like any other kitten. Caracals shouldn’t be ostracized because of their possibility, because at their best potential, they are an amazing house pet, and I would be envious of anyone that does own one. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, and once you consider all of the aspects of a Caracal, you too will realize that Caracals are the pinnacle of a house pet.
Let’s talk about the more domestic aspects of owning a Caracal. They mainly came to light when internet sensation “Big Floppa” or Georgy, became extremely popular in internet meme culture. Posts about Floppa made by a Russian woman named Yelena became extremely popular on Instagram and Floppa was renowned as an internet sensation. Caracals are very big house cats essentially, energetic, they love to play, and are extremely cute.
