Mock Exams Superlatives

By The Editorial Board

Now the G12 MOCKS have finished, it’s time to dish out the AWARDS… (AKA The first superlatives of the season)

Funniest Mistake: Answering all the questions when it clearly says how many to choose and answer

Most depressing mistake: Forgetting the whole last page of the math exam

Calmest study spot: Math pod

Coldest study spot: Red Dot Cafe

Longest exam: History (2hrs30mins)

Best exam snack: Pain au chocolat

Worst feeling: Pen running out of ink after Ms. Baptista has already said “5 minutes left”

Biggest panic: Realizing you forgot to memorize a formula, but you’re already sitting in the exam hall

Best feeling: The exact topic that you just studied for comes up on the exam

Biggest relief: Finally reading the Paper 2 questions for English after memorizing the whole book just in case the question was about the one quote on page 157

The most annoying comment: Being told that you are lucky to have one less exam as an art student, except you don’t remember the last time you had free time, because you are an art student

Most resourceful situation: Using the side of your calculator as a ruler to draw a diagram, because you forgot to bring an actual ruler

Creepiest situation: Forgetting that the rest of the school is away on excursions so you try to find a teacher and only then do you realize that the school is just empty

Most embarrassing: Being name-dropped by Ms Baptista for leaving the exam hall too loudly

Actual best feeling: Sleeping in on the morning after your last mock exam, and waking up to remember that it’s actually over (for like two months)
